- Hunting: during the years he's lived as a mercenary, Fang's had to fend for himself and scavenge for food. He's developed quite the hunting talent as a result of such. Traps, arrows, knives, whatever he's got on hand, he'll use

- Gliding: his big, powerful wings help him dive for hours at a time, which he'll do quite often. It helps him relax and enjoy the view

Personality:

Fang is a man of few words. A quiet man by nature, he'll find the fewest words possible to answer a question. This tends to make him seem aloof and cold, which isn't exactly false, but this only happens when he's ticked or serious. He's a generally nice guy though, once you get to know him. The more words he uses, the more he likes your company. He can be polite, gentle and caring if he wants to be.

Fang can also be very protective and distrusting of people, at first. He's very skeptical and cautious around strangers, and it may take a while for him to put his guard down, and then some, which tends to push people away. He's very calculative and is always thinking of alternatives and possible escape routes should the situation need it.

History:

Fang was born and raised on the outskirts of Twuna Town, Elavernis. He had a loving father and mother, who were very doting and wanted nothing but the best for him. As a child, he loved to explore the fields and play the occasional prank on the villagers. As soon as he learned how to fly (and he was quite eager/impatient on that point), he'd spend the majority of his days soaring the skies, testing his limits, challenge them... he developed quite the reckless personality.

Around the age of 17, after the birth of his little sister, Karen (and the subsequent death of his mother), he left home to pursue a career... or so his father believed. Instead, he became a mercenary, loving the thrills and dangers the job provided. Always trying himself, each task became riskier than the last. As the years went by, he became an adept archer and a decent swordsman. The subject of dark magic and it's risk-factors have, of course, caught his attention as well. His reckless nature demanded that he give it a try, but for the first time, he couldn't seem to follow through. This was one limit he wasn't willing to break just yet, though he did subconsciously wish he'd be thrown in a situation that would force him to use it.

He would visit home often, bringing the occasional gift to Karen, telling stories of his travels. He came to care for her a lot. However, one night, a group of bandits attacked their isolated house. Fang soon thereafter found himself fatherless, half-blind, and with a deeply wounded sister. He rushed her to the Twuna doctor (with great difficulty) but try as they might, they couldn't save her arm. As for his eyes, they were beyond repair, unlike anything they'd seen before. Fang claims not to remember anything.

After the incident, Karen is moved to the Emerald City, where she'll be guaranteed the best care possible. As for Fang, needing money to pay for her recovery, took on the job of a warrior, adapting to his blindness as best he could. It was a nearly impossible task, but Fang soon learned to train his remaining senses, and to use his surroundings to his advantage. While he'd avoid forests and places that would allow minimal movement due to his wings and tail, he now stays in them constantly, training to use his weaknesses to his advantage. He's also had to strengthen his swordsmanship skills, seeing as his archery was hindered.
