This part in the book was really intense, I can tell you that!

Characters:
Heathcliff: The master of the mansion. Seeks revenge on all those who prevented him from marrying the one he loved. He imprisons Catherine and raises Hareton as a servant.
Lockwood: The man visiting the mansion. He is interested in buying Heathcliff's mansion and has also heard his story through Ellen Dean. He is sympathetic towards Hareton's situation.
Catherine: Heathcliff's daughter-in-law. She was imprisonned in Wuthering Heights ever since she married Heathcliff's son (who died shortly after). She's therefore cold and bitter towards everyone, except Ellen, whom she thinks of dearly.
Hareton: A boy whom Heathcliff raised as a servant when he should've otherwise been a noble. Nevertheless, he considers him his father. He's teaching himself how to read in order to impress Catherine.
Ellen Dean: Not present in the comic. She was Catherine's caretaker before she was taken away by Heathcliff. She loves her very much. She's told Lockwood Heathcliff's story.
